July 2024 Newsletter
Hope you've been enjoying this beautiful summer so far! Hold on to your mat, this month's newsletter is a full one!
We had a great weekend with Mariana Cisneros Solbes in June, learning about dharma, exploring funky inversions, and practicing asana with Rocket and the Intermediate series! What a treat to have Mariana back at the Shala (and to have some surprise mysore sessions with her!) More to come on future collaborations!
Ric del Real
With over 14 years of Ashtanga experience (studying with teachers Mauricio Victorica, Sharath Jois, and David Kyle), we are beyond excited to host Ric del Real for the month of August. Ric will be sharing his knowledge, grounding presence, and amazing hands on assists as he supports both led classes and mysore sessions while Brendan and Christiane are away for professional development. Ric will also be an integral part of our "Start Your Practice" course.

Summer Conference July 14 after Led Primary
The only constant in our yoga practice is change. There are smooth times, in which we feel at ease, inspired, and strong in our practice. But, with them, we also encounter some "rocky" times, whether it is due to injury, sickness, life happenings outside our control, or simply doubt and a sense of dullness. As practitioners, we all face those obstacles, they are part of the journey.
As we dive deeper into our practice, as a community, it is essential to acknowledge the existence of these obstacles and have an open dialogue about them. Join us after Led Primary on Sunday 7/14 for our Summer Conference to learn more (bringing snacks to share-welcomed but not necessary)!
